What is Cazenovia doing to protect its roads from damage from potential heavy industry use?

The Town of Cazenovia is taking a pro-active approach to protect taxpayers from potentially excessive road repair costs associated with high-impact industrial traffic.  The Town has partnered with a professional engineering firm to conduct a baseline survey of all Town roads.  A comprehensive Road Use Agreement will then be adopted and  the engineers will monitor and document any future road damage so that the cost of repairs can be  recovered from the parties responsible for the damage.

This resolution was adopted by the Town Board on May 9, 2011 and forwarded to the New York State Senate and the Assembly for consideration.
